How the independent money guides and calculator notes are prepared and corrected.
Every guide should identify a real reader question, reveal important inputs, distinguish estimates from known costs and discuss when a seemingly attractive result may fail. We use UK terminology and examples while avoiding a product recommendation for unknown personal circumstances. A calculator explains a formula but does not make the decision on the reader’s behalf.
For broad principles we check primary guidance from GOV.UK, MoneyHelper, the FCA and FSCS, then favour a provider’s own current disclosure for product conditions. The static release should be periodically checked for changes to allowances, deposit protection and regulatory guidance. A publication date or review date refers to work actually done; it does not mean a provider term is monitored live.
Illustrations disclose assumptions and separate contributions, returns, expenses and inflation when relevant. We do not invent a customer testimonial, personal earnings history, qualification or hands-on provider experience. Rate defaults in calculators are scenarios, not market rates. A list of considerations is not a ranking of current financial products.
Browser-based tools are tested with arithmetic spot checks and input boundaries. They exclude some contract-specific details; the assumptions appear on the tool page. If you notice an error, send the URL, example figures and supporting source to aleetraders041@gmail.com. Material errors affecting cost, safety, protection or eligibility should be prioritised for correction. We cannot guarantee a reply by a particular date.
The delivered site has no ad tags, affiliate links, sponsored placements or payment features. If monetisation is introduced, commercial relationships should be clearly disclosed beside relevant material, and the privacy policy should be updated before data processing changes. A reader should not mistake an advertisement for a calculator result or editorial conclusion.
